VISION & MISSION

Our Vision

We envision the ideal Mercedarian School learners who are free, responsible and life-giving persons committed to the transformation of a just and humane society characterized by Service, Faith and Love.

Our Mission

MS is committed to an integral - liberating education that assists the person to discover and develop one's inner potentials and capabilities through the school's educational programs that foster human integration, social and ecological responsibility, and spiritual formation.

CORE VALUES

As a Catholic School, we embrace the Gospel Values as our guiding principle in our way of life. It is integrated in all school curricular programs and activities. As Mercedarians, we live out the following standards:

Faith

We are formed in a life of faith in God, deeply rooted in a personal relationship with the Triune God and an authentic living out of God’s values. It means, being reflective and prayerful, living in the presence of God in the here and now.

Love

“Love one another as I have loved you”. As members of a Catholic faith community, we recognize God’s unconditional love to be the source of love and inspiration of all our learning. Love of God is the guiding principle of our choices, decisions and actions. This is manifested in our relationship with the self, others and God’s creation.

Compassion and Mercy

We are called to be formed in the heart of Jesus Christ. We look at life’s reality with the eyes and heart of compassion. We let ourselves be touched by the life of others; to suffer with those who suffer, to accompany them, have the courage to reach out in loving service, and by y helping them attain the fullness of life with hope and meaning. Compassion leads us to a lifestyle rooted in mercy and forgiveness.

Freedom and Responsibility

We are gifted with freedom to make right choices and decisions. We commit ourselves to be accountable in all our decisions, actions, and words. God has called us not to slavery but to freedom. Thus, we strive to be an instrument of freedom with responsibility in our relationship with others, in the use of material things, knowledge, time and technology.

Justice and Peace

We believe that each person is blest with dignity, sense of wholeness and sacredness. Thus, we commit ourselves to right relationship to self, others and to the entire creation of God. We renounce all forms of unfair judgment, discrimination, injustices and all forms of violence. We strive to be peace builders and creators of a just world where the virtues of integrity, simplicity, humility, tolerance, empathy, harmony and peace are evident.

Service

Living our lives in the service of others captures the truth of love and joy ― to dedicate ourselves towards what is best for the well-being of others. The school believes that personal growth is meaningful only if it is focused on unselfish and loving service to others. In being of service to others, we commit not only to help uplift the human person’s quality of life but also to build Christian communities.

Pursuit of Truth

We believe in the power of knowledge and the liberating force of truth. We reject all forms of deceit, falseness and dishonesty. We strive to pursue truth in its fullness, for the highest quality of intellectual and academic output; at the same time we recognize and value the wisdom of the heart.
